The short version
If you sell products or services to growers, you need accurate contact data segmented by what they actually grow. Crop type, acreage, certifications, and operation type are the variables that drive buying decisions in agriculture. Generic B2B databases don't have any of them.
FieldWork was built specifically to solve this problem. We source from USDA records (FSA, Organic Integrity, NASS), state ag departments, EWG farm subsidy data, and 30+ specialty registries. Every operation is verified against multiple sources before contact data is enriched.
How we got here
FieldWork is part of the Provyx family of data products. Provyx builds verified contact data across healthcare, veterinary, financial advisory, legal, and other industries with hard-to-source decision-makers. We built FieldWork as a dedicated brand for agriculture because grower data has unique sourcing requirements that don't fit neatly into a general B2B data product.
The buyer ecosystem in ag (agtech SaaS, seed companies, equipment OEMs, crop protection, ag lenders, food and CPG companies) has different needs than tech B2B or healthcare. FieldWork exists because this market deserves a purpose-built solution.
Who buys from us
Most of our customers are mid-market companies in the ag ecosystem who need accurate grower data for outbound campaigns but can't justify a $50K annual contract with DTN or Farm Market iD. Agtech startups doing GTM expansion. Regional seed reps building new territory. Equipment dealers running quarterly campaigns. Ag lenders scoping prospects in adjacent geographies.
We also work with larger ag companies who use us alongside their enterprise data tools, typically for specialty crop, organic, or hemp segments where the enterprise products have weaker coverage.
Our team
FieldWork is led by Rome Thorndike, who previously built data infrastructure at Datajoy (acquired by Databricks) and has held data roles at Microsoft, Salesforce, and Snapdocs. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas.
The team has deep experience in data operations, B2B enrichment, and regulated industry intelligence across both general B2B and ag-specific data sources.
What we believe
Data quality matters more than data quantity. A list of 500 USDA-verified, crop-segmented growers with accurate contacts beats a list of 5,000 SIC-coded "agriculture" entries with 30% bounce rates. Every time.
We don't sell platforms. We don't lock you into annual contracts. We build the data, verify it, and send a CSV. That's the business model. If the data is good, you'll come back. If it isn't, you shouldn't have to.
