USDA Verification for Grower Data
Why USDA verification matters
An "ag list" without USDA verification is a starting point, not a list. Ag is full of business records that look like farms but aren't (ag consultancies, hardware stores, garden centers) and farms that don't show up clearly in B2B databases. The only way to confirm a real, active agricultural operation is to cross-check against USDA records.
FieldWork verifies every operation against FSA program participation, USDA Organic Integrity, NASS Census of Agriculture data, and state ag department records. The result is a list of confirmed agricultural operations, not a list of names.
What we verify
- FSA program participation (ARC, PLC, conservation programs)
- Operation type classification per NASS Census of Agriculture
- USDA Organic certification status (where applicable)
- State ag department licensing (specialty crops, hemp, dairy)
- EWG farm subsidy receipt history (where public)
How it works
USDA verification is included in every FieldWork contact data order. You can also use it as a standalone service to verify your existing grower database. Send us your list, and we'll cross-check every operation against current USDA records and return verified status for each.
Why FieldWork
FSA-sourced
We start from Farm Service Agency program participation records. The same data USDA uses to administer ARC, PLC, and conservation payments.
Crop and acreage filters
13 operation types and 22+ crop categories. Acreage tiers from under 500 to 5,000+. Filter to the operations that match your buyer profile.
Per-record pricing
Order one list or ten. No annual contract. No seat licenses. Yours to keep, yours to use.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the usda verification service include?
Standard fields: operation name, operator name, deliverability-tested email, direct phone, business address, primary crop or livestock type, acreage tier, organic certification status, and FSA participation status. We can add rotation patterns or processor relationships on request.
How is the data verified?
Every operation starts with a USDA program participation record. We verify operation status, classify by primary crop and acreage, validate the email address, and check the phone number. Records that fail any verification step are flagged or excluded.
How long does delivery take?
Most orders are delivered in 3-5 business days. Complex builds with custom criteria may take 5-7 days. Rush delivery is available.
USDA-verified grower contacts in days, not after an annual contract.
No platform to learn. No enterprise contract. Just verified grower data segmented by crop, acreage, and operation type.
FSA-sourced. Crop and acreage segmented. Email tested before delivery.
